Eric Croft - 1/17/08

Eric Croft Mr. Eric Croft, 43, current Assistant Municipal Prosecutor, Municipality of Anchorage, 632 W. 6th Avenue Suite 210, Anchorage, Alaska 99501 (907)343-4250, has been in charge of Alaska Bar Review BAR/BRI, a Thomson Company, since 1996. He taught Alaska Bar Review during 1996-2006 while he was a sitting Alaska Legislator. To my knowledge, he continues to be in charge of BAR/BRI, 4020 E. Madison Street #321, Seattle, WA 98112 (206)329-5250 or (888)3BARBRI. Please check http://www.barbri-classaction.com/barbri/default.htm for BAR/BRI Class Action Lawsuit regarding violations of federal antitrust laws.

Dean Rudolph Hasl, former Dean, Seattle University School of Law, 2000-2004, current Dean, Thomas Jefferson School of Law, San Diego, California, and former Chair, American Bar Association Section on Legal Education and Admission to the Bar which reviews all American Bar Association accredited law schools in U.S. http://www.abanet.org/legaled/ asked Mr. Croft to help Tom take Alaska Bar Exam Review in Spring, 2003. Please also see “Alaska Law School” “Seattle University School of Law Continuing Education 2/20/03” on this site. Tom took Alaska Bar Exam Review again from Mr. Croft June and July, 2003. We were very optimistic until Mr. Croft called “Dan Fagan Show” in September, 2003 to berate one of his applicants by name, i.e., Thomas S. Obermeyer, Attorney, stating that Tom had been unprepared for Alaska Bar Exam July 29-31, 2003. Mr. Croft should have lost his contract to teach BAR/BRI simply because he openly talked about one of the applicants by name. Also, this writer was sitting in a Section Meeting at Alaska Bar Association Office in October, 2003 when Mr. Eric Croft came to the office and was met by Mr. Stephen Van Goor who took him back to his office. What do you think they discussed when Alaska Bar Exam results were coming out in a matter of weeks? Then, in September, 2006 Eric and Senator Johnny Ellis were being interviewed by Aaron Selbig on KUDO 1080 AM Radio Show when I again heard Mr. Croft openly disparaging my husband by name regarding his dedicated efforts for admission to Alaska Bar Association as regards BAR/BRI Bar Review. The above are issues that I have observed myself. To my knowledge, Mr. Croft continues to teach Alaska Bar Exam Review.

Please review at http://www.state.ak.us/apoc Alaska Public Offices Commission Financial Disclosure Statements when Eric ran for Governor losing in the Primary August 22, 2006 against former Governor Tony Knowles. Sarah Palin became Governor winning the General Election that year. Eric is the son of Chancy Croft, former Speaker of Alaska House of Representatives who ran for Governor himself in 1978. Chancy chaired University of Alaska Board of Regents prior to Mr. Mike Burns, current Executive Director, Alaska Permanent Fund Board. Mrs. Tony Croft has worked at University of Alaska Anchorage since about 1980 and Eric’s brother, Lee, was employed at Anchorage Daily News and Frontiersman in computer technology. Chancy and Eric have orchestrated several Initiative Petitions to be placed on Alaska Ballot commencing in 2004 when Ballot Initiative passed that if there is a vacancy in U.S. Senate, there will be a Special Election rather than an appointment by the Governor. Alaska is one of only three states in U.S. which have this requirement. The current Ballot Initiatives the Crofts are involved in are “Clean Elections” that will be on the Ballot in 2008. Please check http://www.elections.state.ak.us/petitions/status.php#07CASE or http:www.elections.alaska.gov click on “Petitions” for more information. Also, you can contact Lieutenant Governor Sean Parnell or Ms. Lauri Wilson (907)465-4611 about current Ballot Initiatives.

Prior to Mr. Croft, current U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski had been in charge of BAR/BRI from 1987 until she became a State Representative in 1998 before her father, Frank, became Governor, Alaska 2002, appointing his daughter, Lisa, to his U.S. Senate seat which has never happened previously in the history of the U.S. Ms. Murkowski was about 26 years old when Thomas Obermeyer, Attorney, 63, took his first Alaska Bar Exam in February, 1984 and Mr. Croft was about 19 years old. That Lisa and Eric could have treated Tom as maliciously as they have is a very negative reflection on their characters and that of their fathers.

I was at Mayor Mark Begich’s office in about Fall, 2005 when Chancy Croft was meeting with Mayor Begich after my husband had been fired by Mr. Begich on March 14, 2005 concluding 11 ˝ years as a Special Administrative Assistant, Municipal Attorney’s Office, Anchorage. Please ask Mayor Begich why his fired Tom Obermeyer. It is apparent to me that Chancy Croft and Mark Begich “cut a deal” so that Eric could work at the Municipal Attorney’s Office if he was not elected Governor 2006 at the same time Tom was fired. I believe that both Eric and Mark along with Andrew Halcro are being “groomed” by a handful of very corrupt Alaska attorneys in order that the status quo will be maintained in this 49 year old state.
