Fairbanks Catholic Archdiocese selling assets under bankruptcy plan.

Oregon Province of the Catholic Jesuits have been in litigation filed by Cooke and Roosa, Attorneys, 3700 Jewel Lake Road, Anchorage, Alaska 99507 (907)276-2744 since about 2002 for which they have been forced to file Chapter 11 Bankruptcy over sexual abuse cases from the 1950s and 1960s. Alaska. a 50 year old state, is the only state without a law school or any elected attorney by designation. Mr. Christopher R. Cooke, He has been on Board of Governors Alaska Bar Association since 2004 per Alaska Bar. We hope that Board of Governors Alaska Bar Association will sunset June 30, 2009 per http://www.tobermeyer.info and HB 88 .
In 1972 then Alaska Legal Services Attorney Mr. Cooke filed the Molly Hootch litigation. Why does Mr. Cooke hold so much power and control over Alaska’s indigenous people? The Molly Hootch case allowed K-12 public education facilities in Bush villages. Prior to the 1972 litigation, indigenous people had to send their children to boarding schools for high school. In other words, there was no local high school education in rural Alaska until the Molly Hooch case. Please review the current Alaska Legal Services Corporation including my “Trespass Notice” June 2, 2003. Mr. Cooke has lived with Georgianna Lincoln, former Alaska State Legislator 1991-2004 and current Doyon Native Corporation Board member, for several years. Ms. Lincoln’s former Senate District C comprises 49% of State of Alaska or 285,000 square miles. (File loads slowly.) This Senate District has 25 of the 54 K-12 Alaska schools. Anchorage School District has about 49,000 or 42% of the K-12 students in Alaska whereas half of the K-12 districts have under 250 students. Mr. Cooke often holds Democratic Fundraisers at his palatial home on Jewel Lake which looks like museum of Native artifacts.
The Jesuits have received very poor legal advice to date as regards this litigation. It was reported widely in the local and national media that Father John Whitney, S.J., former Provincial, Oregon Province, in December, 2007 that the Jesuits were in the process of paying $50,000,000.00 in claims. The fact that the Jesuits announced that they have already paid such a large amount of money is a tremendous incentive for more claimants to come forward so that they can get large settlements as well. This is a very poor legal strategy. Father Patrick Lee, S.J., current Provincial, Oregon Province, P. 0. Box 86010, Portland, Oregon 97286-0010 (907)226-6977 http://www.nwjesuits.org sent a letter out February 25, 2009 that stated that $80,000,000.00 has been paid to date. Credible complaints against individual Jesuits amount to less than one percent and most of those accused have either died or are very old. How is it possible that possibly 200 more claimants have come forward in light of the fact that the underlying premise of any of these sexual abuse claims are almost impossible to prove since they are 50+ or up to 60 years old?
Former Judge Neisje Steinkruger, 185 Frog Pond Circle, Fairbanks, Alaska 99712 (907)457-8733 is arbitrating these cases. Her husband is Roger Brunner, Counsel, University of Alaska, 203 Butrovich Bldg., Box 7551600. Fairbanks, Alaska 99775 (907)450-8080. Please review Theresa Nangle Obermeyer vs. University of Alaska District Court Civil A81-448, U.S. Court of Appeals No. 85-3826. I was forced into U.S. District Court, District of Alaska, Anchorage, in October, 1981 by Mr. Robert Flint, Attorney, 745 West 4th Avenue, #200, Anchorage, Alaska 99501 (907)771-8300, who was hired as the Hearing Officer by University of Alaska, and was paid to deny me due process of law for which I later received a “Not for Publication” ruling and had to pay $17,161.75 December 31, 1986.
I have repeatedly been denied a “Letter to Editor” or column in Catholic Anchor Alaska although I have been an advertiser since about 2004. Mr. Flint was featured on March 6, 2009 Page 4 with a picture in a column entitled:”Process of selecting judges is clearly flawed.” Is he an advertiser? Why does Catholic Anchor promote someone as unethical as Mr. Flint? Please ask him specifically what he is going to do to help Jesuits of the Oregon Province. He is a Georgetown Law graduate.
