Theresa Nangle Obermeyer, Ph.D., 58, filed to become the Junior U.S. Senator-Alaska today. Her campaign slogan is: "For a Brighter Future for all Alaskans." Please download "Resumes of Tom and Theresa" on their website. Professionally, Obermeyer has been a college administrator at four colleges in three states, i.e., Missouri, Maryland, and Alaska. She has been Alaska Real Estate Broker since 1979 and has held Alaska Type A Teaching Certificate since 1979. Obermeyer held public office on Anchorage School Board 1990-94. Obermeyer obtained a Ph.D. from St. Louis University in 1975, M.Ed. from St. Louis U. in 1970, and a B.A. from Maryville University in St. Louis 1967.
As the campaign goes forward, Obermeyer will present position papers on various issues important to Alaskans prior to August 24 Primary. Alaska, a 45 year old frontier that became a state of U.S. in 1959, is the resource base that is the future of our great nation. Alaska is about one-sixth of the land mass of the 48 continental states and yet it has about .2% which is 1/5 of 1% of the nation's population or about 627,000 residents. Obermeyer hopes her website: www.tobermeyer.info gives some insight into the issues that she and her husband, Thomas Obermeyer, Attorney, licensed by similar Missouri Bar Exam since 1990, a state that has reciprocity with Alaska, have been raising for almost 30 years here.
The Obermeyers have four children:Thomas, Jr., 22, finishing his first year of medical school in New York, Jimmy, 20, having completed his second year of college in Chicago, and twins, Margaret and Matt, 18, who graduated from East High School yesterday. The Obermeyers have raise their four children in Anchorage and all have graduated from East High School.

Dear Alaskan:
Please review our updated www.tobermeyer.info especially "Frank & Lisa Murkowski, Ben Stevens, 5/60 Alaska Legislators 2003." This is a seven page file. The top page lists the 5 of 60 Alaska Legislators that Frank Murkowski was allowed to appoint in 2003 after he had appointed his daughter, Lisa, to U.S. Senate on December 20, 2002. Pages 2-6 are "Alaska House Journal" regarding SR 166 January 16, 2002 which was the veto override that allowed Mr. Murkowski to appoint his daughter. At the top on Page 2 "Alaska House Journal" is very clear that then State Senator Loren Leman moved or introduced this bill. We are now supposed to believe that current Lieutenant Governor Leman does not think Lisa can be elected U.S. Senator so he is supposedly supporting Mike Miller*. I also know that Mike Miller resigned as Commissioner of Administration in Frank Murkowski's administration on March 19 right after I faxed eight pages to him. It is noted that Mr. Leman's most important duty as Lieutenant Governor is to run fair elections. I would really like a smart Alaska attorney to sue Mr. Leman for taking a partisan stand as he supervises Alaska Division of Elections. I unequivocally know that Frank, Loren, and Mike are working together to help Mr. Murkowski's daughter get elected. I consider their antics unAmerican but only if you figure this out will anything change. I cannot understand why especially Loren and Mike would put their personal integrity on the line in this manner except they must think:"This is the way the world works." I can speculate that both gentlemen know only opportunism which really is the prevailing wisdom in our state currently. Let's change that.
I do not believe we have fair elections in Alaska and do not observe this situation improving under our current Lieutenant Governor. I have been treated very rudely by Ms. Laura Glaiser, Director, in the presence of Ms. Carol Thompson, Alaska Division of Elections, when I went to an advertised public meeting to discuss fair elections as which time there was no one else present. Alaskans are not apathetic but you are nice and politics is so dirty here that you are repulsed by what you observe. It is truly uncivilized what goes on in Alaska politics so I just believe some of you would rather stay away even though you have very strong opinions about how corrupt all of it really is.
Please discuss fair elections with Dr. Arndt von Hippel, 1649 Bannister Drive, Anchorage, Alaska (907)279-3740, who wrote "Our votes must leave a paper trail," Anchorage Daily News B-4, 4/20/04. I read another excellent article, "State buys voting machines critics call flawed," Anchorage Daily News by Sean Cockerham A-1, 11/1/03 which stated that our great State of Alaska continues to purchase Diebold machines which are the same as Accu-Vote. Avi Rubin, Technical Director of Information Security Institute, Johns Hopkins University, and a team from Rice University have roundly criticized Diebold because there is no record of a person voting at all under this system. Please call Congressman Dennis Kucinich toll free at (866)413-3664 or check his website:www.kucinch.us, 111808 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44111 about his refusal to withdraw as a Presidential candidate specifically because of the most important issue in any campaign, i.e, fair vote tabulation. Kuchinch has introduced H.R. 2239, a bill pending in U.S. House of Representatives about the problems associated with electronic voting machines.
Here in Alaska our own State Senator Johnny Ellis and Representative Les Gara introduced S.B. 296 and H.B. 459 respectively in Alaska Legislature stating:"Citizens' trust in elections is a bedrock of democracy. Requiring a voter-verified paper trail will assure Alaskans that no matter what technology is adopted in the future, their elections will be honest and accurate." We must demand this in our Alaska Primary August 24 and General Election November 2.
If my husband, Tom, and/or I can answer your question about any issue on our website:www.tobermeyer.info or the above, please feel free to contact us at your convenience. Let's create a brighter future for Alaskans.
Sincerely yours,
Theresa Nangle Obermeyer, Ph.D.

*Mike and Susan Miller
(907)488-2687 Phone (907)488-7269 Fax, North Pole, waged a valiant campaign losing the Primary to Lisa Murkowski August 24. Mike had been in Alaska Legislature for 18 years including President, State Senate 1997-98. Although I disagree with some of the positions of Mr. Miller, he earned my respect and admiration for sincerity during the Primary Campaign."

Thomas S. Obermeyer, Attorney, licensed by similar Missouri Bar Exam in State of Missouri in 1996, was failed for the 21st time over a period of 12 years on Alaska Bar Exam in May 14, 1996. On May 28 Theresa Nangle Obermeyer, Ph.D., 50, former Anchorage School Board member 1990-94, filed for United States Senate against 28 year incumbent Senator Ted Stevens, 72.
On June 11 Dr. Obermeyer was jailed for 29 days by U.S. District Court Judge William B. Enright, San Diego. She had been charged for the second time on August 16, 1995 when she attempted to attend a public meeting of U.S. Senator Kit Bond arid Senator Stevens. She has pictures of the grievous assault causing black and blue marks and scratches all over her body. She was convicted of "Engaging In Disorderly Conduct," a misdemeanor that requires a non-jury "bench trial" carrying a maximum 30 days sentence.
Obermeyer was taken from U.S. District Court June 11 to Meadow Creek Correctional Facility in Eagle River until June 20. At 3:45 A.M. June 20 Obermeyer was awakened, shackled, handcuffed, and transported by private U.S. Marshal airplane against her will to Multnomah County Detention Center, Portland, Oregon, by Mr. Charles Dooley and Tyrone Cunningham, U.S. Marshals, and Ms. Melanie Edwards, Alaska Department of Corrections. Theresa was not allowed to call her husband or her attorneys, Ms. Mary Geddes and Kevin McCoy (907)271-2277, prior to her departure. Please read Title 18 United States Code Annotated Section 4083 which clearly states that any person that receives under a one year sentence must authorize transport out of the home state. She was transported two states away from her home that day. Theresa was kept in solitary confinement for one week.
On June 27 Obermeyer was flown by "air lift' with about 103 prisoners in shackles and handcuffs against her will to Camp Parks, Dublin, California. This was a "work camp" for women felons where she remained for 13 days until her release July 9.
Obermeyer was a "political prisoner" for 29 days even though her sentence was 30 days. She was jailed for her political beliefs alter she filed for U.S. Senate. She can prove that Senator Stevens has been directly involved in her treatment by his statements about her during a speech to Alaska World Affairs Council October 28, 1994. Obermeyer believes that our Senior Senator committed criminal fraud when he applied for reciprocity to Alaska Bar Association because the most important fact is missing in his case. In which state he was licensed in order for him to apply for reciprocity to Alaska Bar Association? Please read Application of Theodore F. Stevens 355 Pacific Reporter 2nd 164 (Alaska 1960). His application papers at Alaska Supreme Court are blank.
Theresa's first act when she is elected to U.S. Senate will be to fire Mr. Robert C. Bundy, U.S. Attorney, and partner, Bogle and Gates, who is responsible for making up all these phony court charges and trials against Theresa and her transport out of Alaska to two other jails in Lower 48. Mr. Bundy has requested for two years that Theresa agree not to enter Anchorage Federal Building in order to conclude these fabricated trials. She will go to Federal offices any where in this state if she wishes. She is a taxpayer.
Obermeyer's appeal of DC #A94-074 CR W8E is United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit No. 96-30185 filed July 5, 1996 based on due process and opportunity to attend a public meeting.
Thomas S. Obermeyer will take Alaska Bar Exam July 30-August 1. Torn has been denied reciprocity by Alaska Bar. Association for six years even though Missouri has reciprocity with Alaska. Senator Stevens himself was admitted here by reciprocity.
